Forget President Koroma… Just Dance It Subtle All Right

Surveys say the President should be saluted and given big kudos for bringing to the doorsteps of the commoners, constant electricity supply, good roads (especially at the provinces) and gradual growth in agriculture and other related issues. That in 36 months, Sierra Leone is able to enjoy the flow of electricity on a 24/7 basis. It could be recalled that governments have come and gone but failed to bring to the doors of the residents of Freetown a constant electricity supply. The APC under President Koroma has provided electricity for its people and must be appraised for doing so.
Ratings on the score sheet of the President depict overriding references of ‘light for all’ and which many say reduces expenditures on the purchase of highly priced generators and the petrol/diesel it uses.
“Of course, the detractors have had jolly good times at bars and street pubs, saying things inimical to state expectations, condemning achievements so far made and have called successes of the APC as failures, Amadu said.
“Put together, light, roads, agriculture etc., have stepped up positive and do have the tendency to bring to better standards to a country rated one of the lowest in the world,” he added.
Findings have shown that the country’s economy makes no headway but continues to shrink at all fronts.
On issues concerning infrastructure, electricity and agriculture, the ruling APC gets a pass mark and has been rated excellent.
“Forget President Koroma, just dance it subtle all right and have your head fixed on issues of governance,” words of Abu Kargbo who says light has made him the happiest man.
He added: “light which was never thought of now reaches the doors of Sierra Leoneans everyday. We need not run to the street to buy iced cold water, but just need to secure a freezer and enjoy the rest.”
Other persons this press spoke with condemned the President for not going by what he said weeks after his ascension into power. Stating that he had not fulfilled promises relating to separating the office of the Anthony General and from that of the Chief Justice and cause a redo of laws in the public order act of 1965.
The public also blame the President on the manner he appoints persons for ministerial positions.
“The President’s format in the appointment of Ministers has many oddities and has brought failures at ministerial levels,” a trader who refuses to give his name said.
Public opinion points out clearly that the APC should look to put the right people in the right places of office.
