Wealth Builders threaten security in Makeni
After thorough researched and investigations, it was proven that the Wealth Builders Network has their highest membership in the country in the Northern city of Makeni where they had put social unrest and security at stake especially when Central Bank released a public notice regarding their positions on the Wealth Builders saga of operating ILLEGALLY in the country.
After the 6th August public notice from the Central Bank that described the Wealth Builders Network as being ILLEGALLY operating in the country, the news which was received with mixed feelings from patriots doing business with them over 100 Northerners who stormed the organization’s 19 Mabanta Road office, which was open on Tuesday 10th August to camouflage their customers, was closed on Wednesday 11th August which added to the unrest as more people continued to dread because the alleged huge amount of money deposited into the business. This saw customers and their family members converged in front of the closed office demanding for their monies, to the extent of threatening to burn down the resident that is housing them while others went to the police station to made official complaints.
It was from this back drop that officers attached to the Rogbaneh police station headed by Local Unit Commander (LUC) Chief Superintendent Theophilus Senesie, as a way of curbing down the situation in a proactive manner advised his personnel to obtain statements and register all the patrons with a photocopy of their authentic documents to ascertain the real amount of people involved in the City.
The registration exercise saw over 100 of the alleged customers of Wealth Builders Network with a paper that has the organization’s name, head office at 17 Circular Road and 19 Rogbaneh Road in Makeni, with the organization motto as ‘FROM ZERO TO HERO,’ and has the wealth Builders Network website as; babypips.com.
The registration exercise was not complete yesterday because the number of people and the first nineteen people who were registered alleged and according to their documents, show that they have deposited into Wealth Builders Network over 78 million Leones.
In an exclusive interview with LUC Chief Superintendent Theophilus Senesie, he stated that the arrival of the organization was unknown to them noting that as their name implies they were engaged on public maximization. But unfortunately the LUC commented both the electronic and print media has helped greatly to reliably inform the people better on behalf of the government.
Superintendent Senesie said the Wealth Builders Network has caused chaos among its patriots especially the petty traders and private enterprises as they do not see any possibility of retrieving their money from the organization.
At his compound road office, the Regional Chairman for Sierra Leone Traders Union Alieu P. Conteh (Kalusha), said his members had invested over 200 million Leones in Wealth Builders Network which according to him account for 2/3 of the traders in Makeni.
Mr. Alieu P. Conteh used this medium to appeal to government to intervene to salvage the unfortunate situation which he said if not, within the next two months, there will be a serious problem in the northern city of Makeni.
It could be recalled that upon going through the bank notice, the Wealth Builders Network closed all their offices on Monday 9th August to attend to an emergency meeting at CID head quarters in Freetown. During the meeting, allegedly to have been attended by Vice President Sam Sumana, Attorney General, and other big guns, our source revealed that a five man delegation was set to meet with the Central Bank Governor in a bid to persuade him to see reason and make things very soft for Wealth Builders to continue to operation in the country.
However, we are assuring our readers of the full coverage of all happenings and footage. See who this Peter Ayinla Johnson in our next edition is.
