Hail Miss Sierra Leone 2010
19 year old Neyorny Willams was on Friday July 30th crowned winner of this year’s Miss Sierra Leone 2010 annual premier beauty pageant contest at the prestigious Family Kingdom Entertainment Complex at Aberdeen.
In an exclusive interview with this press, the 6 feet 2 inch, soft spoken beauty paradigm who will be representing the country in the forthcoming Miss World Annual pageant contest scheduled to take place in Beijing China in October, said that she was very happy to be the winner of the competition.
“I am very excited to be the winner of Miss Sierra Leone 2010 and I am ready to represent my country in the world contest,” she said.
The eloquent pageant who is presently pursuing an international course in Human Resource Management with the Cambridge University attended the St. Joseph’s Primary School and St. Joseph’s Convent. Her debut in beauty pageantry began in 2008 with the coveted Miss Paddy’s Beauty Contest in which she made a strong showing, so much so that she was invited to take part in the continental ‘Face of Africa’ staged in Ghana that same year.
Her participation in this year’s Miss Sierra Leone was triggered by a friend of her brother who alerted her by telephone just two weeks to the grand final, and urged her to take part because he had seen the other contestants and thought that Neyonyn could match them.
Neyonyn says she is grateful to a gentleman called Emmanuel, who designed her outfits and counseled her during rehearsal sessions.
Looking at Neyonyn face, one would not doubt the integrity and knowledge of the judges. She is absolutely confounding to behold.
The organizers of the national beauty pageant, Mammy Yoko Entertainment Enterprises, will support her and see her through to China to take on the world’s most beautiful, next October.
Abie S. Mansaray and Kadiatu Conteh were Neyonyn’s first and second runners up respectively.
