Police Media Unit Modernized

Sierra Express Media has learnt that the A.I.G. East, Al Sheik Kamara has taken the lead in promoting the status of the Police Media Unit and community relations department in the region by capacitating the personnel with brand new and professional standard media gadgets and other supports.

According to the media unit officer Al Sheik Kamara in his statement heÂ told this press over the mobile phone that the media unit is the pioneer department in which the division can depend on for its operation in terms of strategic quality dissemination skills. He said if the office should stand for what it was establish for, then special attention should be given the personnel in the form of inducement and capacity building skills. On his part head of media unit Eastern Region PC 10322 Kamara B.J.P. confirmed what the AIG had earlier said and expressed gratitude to him for the timely initiative in helping to improve the police unit in the region.

Director Kamara said for sometime now, the media office was handicapped and was without gadgets to carry out its operation adequately in the region with such intention from the AI he said, the region can now boast of quality equipment that include digital video camera portable MP3 and MP4 camera and digital tape recorders among others.
