Logos Ship Staff Visit Leone Stars Training
Three staff members from the Logos Hope ship, Marcel Friess, Salome Maxeiner and Priska Huber (in photo) yesterday visited the Leone Stars training ground at the SLFA headquarter, Kingtom.
During their visit they preached Jesus Christ to the players. Friess told the players that they should always accept Jesus as their personal saviour in and out of the field of play.
The ship is here in Sierra Leone to sell books and preach the gospel to the people. Friess went to say that a player with Christ is always a successful player. He preached to the players about unity among themselves and they should also be God fearing people. He told them about big name players who have succeeded by taking Christ as their personal saviour.
He said most of them prayed before entering the field of play, when they score goals and when leaving the pitch. The Logos contingent then prayed for the team after the preaching and shared booklets among the players.
