As Lower Level Conventions Start – APC Bloody Battles Begin
The battle for leadership in the All Peoples Congress Party has started, as the party over the weekend kicks up their primaries election / selection
One of the selections of constituency chairman ended bloodily at the Brookfields Canteen in Freetown, during the start there was joy and happiness but it all ended in a fight between the party supporters from Dwozark, New England and that of Somalia Town.
The people started their protest right on the ground because they were expecting voting rather than selection but to their surprised, those at the helm of affairs ended up selecting those they referred to as wrong people. The protesters blame the Mayor, the Deputy Speaker, Moijeh Kaikai and Pat Sowe, the Western Region APC Chairman who were all present at the event. They accused the Chairman of manipulating the Delegates list by choosing unknown people within the constituency as delegates that resulted in selecting people who are entirely strangers in the constituency some of which includes Mohamed Kamara as Assistant Secretary, Denton S. Bangura as Secretary, Charles Amara as Vice Chairman, and Weah J Williams as Chairman among others. According to disgruntled APC Supporters, these people are absolute strangers in their constituency (124) adding that they cannot seat back and allow them to run the affairs of their constituency
The protesters walked out of the event with grievances shouting around and promised to cast their vote for other political parties instead of APC.
