High Court Judges Take Oath Of Allegiance
Ten Judges, Eldred Taylor Kamara Justice of the Court of Appeal, Jamesina King High Court Judge, Unisa Kamara High Court Judge, Ansumana Ivan Sesay High Court Judge, Conorel I.M Koroma High Court Judge, Tonia Barnette High Court Judge, Alfred A.T Gander High Court Judge, Abou Bhakarr Benneh Kamara High Court Judge, Manuela Harding High Court Judge, and Adelaide Dwarzack, High Court Judge, past Friday 14th July, 2017, took their oath of allegiance.
Justice Abdulai Charm in his handing over of Warrant and Oath, congratulated the Judges on behalf of the Judiciary adding that they came at a crucial time, and as they have taken the Sacred Oath to do right to all manner of People, they should do that without fair or favour.
Justice Abdulai Charm continue to admonished the Judges that Integrity is the key to their office and that friends and relatives duty is to help them succeed, because most times the pressure they have comes from friends and relatives.
Furthering more, Justice Charm thank the Government and the President of Sierra Leone to recruit more Judges in order to make their work easier. He said the Judiciary should work together because they are one family and that before now it was difficult for people to come to the bench and take the lead.
Justice Cham in his conclusive statement said he believe that, soon their cases will be cited not only in Africa but the World at large.
Master and Registrar Steven Brima Mansaray said the Court and the Church are Institutions of Service and when they think a candidate is ripe, a Vow and Oath is necessary.
Justice Eldred Taylor Kamara in rendering the vote of thanks said they are proud to take up the task and although there are challenges but with the support of the Judiciary they will be able to take the right direction.
