With 300 Bags of Rice African Muslim Agency Supports the Poor

As part of their contributions towards empowering the poor, the African Muslim Agency  on July 5th, 2015, donated 300 bags of rice, sugar, beans, and cooking oil to residents of Kissy Town and Paw Paw Road in Waterloo.

According to the Country Director of the African Muslim Agency, Mr. Kemamine Ahmed, the distribution is an ongoing project which aims at helping Muslims that can hardly afford food during the month of project is sponsored from our headquarter in Kuwait and the sponsorship will continue,” he said.

African Muslim Agency National Secretary-General, Alhaji Abu Bakarr Jabbie, said that the agency is fully aware of the effects of Ebola and this venture is to tell the people that all is not lost as many programs are on the way for the people of Sierra Leone.

Councilor Hassan A. Kamara of ward 343 commended the agency for the timely and generous donation, pointing out that the agency has always been helping the people of the communities. The Headman of kissy Town, Mohamed Davis Koroma, said that the contributions of the agency to the communities in terms of water, health and other facilities are visible.
