Bulungu optimistic of eliminating Sierra Leone over two legs

Report from the Sihlangu camp Swaziland has indicated to Sierra Express Media Sport UK that they are ready to overwhelm their counterpart Leone Stars in the two-legged encounter.

The local squad of Swaziland will hosts their African Nations Cup (AFCON) Qualifier opponents in the first leg encounter slated for the Somhlolo National Stadium Sunday 18th May 2014 and return leg will be in Sierra Leone on the 30th May 2014.

The host head Coach Harries Madze Bulunga (in photo) was interviewed shortly after Leone Stars arrived in the country.  During the Leone Stars first training session at the Somhlolo National Stadium on Saturday, it was revealed that Bulunga is optimistic about eliminating Sierra Leone and Coach Bulunga is already looking beyond Leone Stars.

The Sihlangu coach Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga believes scoring four goals against Botswana in the away international friendly match has boosted his players’ confidence ahead of their meeting with Sierra Leone over two legs.

“It was a very good practice match and I am happy that we did not pick up any injuries.

“We got the practice we needed as this was a full international friendly match and they used the players that are also in camp preparing to play in the AFCON qualifiers this weekend.  It is just that this match wasn’t publicised locally to avoid our immediate opponents from getting a chance to watch us.

Discreet

“We just wanted to be discreet, especially since we feel their coach is now singing a different tune after previously declaring that we are already out of the tournament,” he remarked.

Bulunga further observed that they’re now 100% ready for the match against Sierra Leone as they still had to fine-tune their squad in various departments as they would be playing a team that was above them in playing standards.
