‘Our movie industry is getting better’ – John Habid Kabia

Mr. John Habib Kabia, a twenty year old actor and playwright, has said that the Sierra Leonean movie industry is getting better with recent stories being acted.

He made the statement during a conducted tour in the east of Freetown to know the impact the movie is having on the youths in the country.

He told this paper that he was born in Mathamba village, north of Sierra Leone, and he is a member and actor of the Royal Life Movie Company in Freetown.

He revealed that they are expecting to release a newly produced movie called “Kalawa” (Prince with success).

Kabia asserted that Sierra Leoneans are very talented in every work of life and that with the kind of support, the nation’s youths will help themselves in raising funds for their well being instead of putting their hopes in politicians.

Inspired by Jimmy ‘B’, the young actor said that he is calling on investors for support to help address youth unemployment, poverty and disease in the country.

He concluded that he was happy that the youths are working hard in line with President Ernest Bai Koroma Agenda for prosperity.
