Winners of Voice Magazine Achievers Awards unveiled

The winners of this year’s Voice Magazine Achievers Awards have been unveiled.  The 14th edition of the Voice Magazine Achievers Awards will take place from 11th to 13th October 2013 in  the Netherlands.  (Photo: Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone)

The annual prestigious award ceremony recognizes the hard work of African men and women who have excelled in various fields.

The Voice Magazine Achievers Awards are organised by Pastor Elvis Iruh, the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Voice Magazine.

This year’s event will feature Sierra Leone – the beautiful West African country that has shown resilience against all odds and working towards progress.

Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, will receive the highest honour for his achievements in placing Sierra Leone on the road to progress and his exemplary leadership style in Africa. He is this year’s ‘Icon of Democracy in Africa’ Award winner.

Other deserving awardees who will join President Koroma in this classy and tasteful event are five Executive Governors from Nigeria namely: Governor Dr. Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State; Governor Dr. Jonah David Jang of Plateau State; Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State; Governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state and Governor Barr. Sullivan Chime of Enugu State.
The late elder statesman, Chief Anthony Enahoro, has been listed for honour as well and an award will be dedicated to his name at the Voice Magazine Achievers Awards ceremony.

As part of this year’s event a business luncheon is being organized for the Dutch/African business community in the Netherlands and those who are already doing business in Sierra Leone to have an audience with President Koroma and Sierra Leonean authorities.
