Profile of an Appointed Minister
The name Dr. Kaifala Marah, rings a national and international bell. With no intention of exaggeration this man is one of the greatest citizens this nation has produced as he has done remarkable things that have put Sierra Leone high on the global map. Therefore, writing a profile of this noble Sierra Leonean is a herculean task but I will endeavor to write the little I know about him. (Photo: Dr. Kaifala Marah)
Dr Marah was a Budget Analyst at the State Senate of New York and a Graduate Fellow at the Center of International Development, State University of New York, Albany.
For his demonstrative, intuitive and innovative leadership, he received the prestigious ‘Excellence in International Student Leadership’ award at the Rockefeller.

His extensive years of experience on the international scene saw him being responsible for operationalizing the Commonwealth Heads of Government Mandate on public expenditure management as well as providing advisory training and policy development service to developing Commonwealth Countries.
Before leaving the Commonwealth, he developed a government self assessment toolkit on financial management for member countries.

Devoted to the principles of governance, Dr Marah is imbued with fervor of strategic thinking with cultivated ideas of change management and leadership development. His expertise in public sector development spans thirteen years across all regions of the globe.
