FC Kallon sets for CAF competition

Runners up in the just concluded Sierra Leone Premier League sponsored by Africell, FC Kallon, will this year honour the CAF Confederations Cup fixtures after being out of continental football for three seasons.

According to source, FC Kallon will also be honouring their Tuscany football Tournament in Italy which will be drawn alongside the CAF fixture, but will play both competitions as the team is set for both encounters.

Source further reveals the reason leading to the club’s rejecting of invitations due to the CEO’s idea of not only going to both the CAF and Italy competitions as a partaker, but as a team rendering meaning full participation.

“My preference is to get my boys exposed, train them as a team and then go for the prestigious African tournament,” Mohamed Kallon stated.

FC Kallon played in the CAF Champions League in 2003 but was eliminated by Africa’s hottest and experienced Ivorian side ASEC.

It is hoped that the club will this time round do better than the previous contenders- East End Lions, Central Parade, Ports Authority.
