Being a disciplined public servant, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has gained public trust, confidence and buoyancy
Thank you Sir! His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s “Agenda for Attitudinal Change†is meek, self-effacing and straight forward. After the 11 years of savage, brutal and barbaric war, people became prone to attitudinal problem by changing to a corruptive toxic mole of mannerism. Most of the others who clinched themselves within the vicinity of the country, especially some political mavericks, had to be rushed back home to assume public offices which were regularly exposed to information offering to get rich in a quick scheme and ways to make their wealth very quickly for a little time with not even an effort to help the needy and the poor. This is probably even more the case for other government officers who want to derail the president’s agenda which could now hamper their perceived personalities or public trust than for most other people who really want to work with President Koroma. There may even be some more corrupt public servant who becomes rich as a result of such offers! Â
Retrospectively, if you study the lives of some successful and wealthy people around the globe and Sierra Leone, you will be unlikely to find many, if any, that had achieved their success with little effort. Many of them, worked very hard for their success, and you’ll find few, if any that didn’t have one of the fundamental skills of being disciplined public servants or as to very successful and corruption free.
To be honest with you, it takes a disciplined public servant like President Koroma and few others to do the things they know should be done when others don’t feel like doing them. It also takes a discipline, self-restraint and self-will public servant today to be able to follow the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma’s vision, despite indifference or negative opinions of others and members of the Pull-Him-Down syndrome (PHD). It also takes a self-disciplined public servant to work on his or her dreams when he/she could be relaxing with friends or watching the sun set at our Lumley beach.  It also takes a self-disciplined public servant in the Koroma Administration to search for and read the books, listen to the tapes, learn the skills, or get the training that can greatly enhance your progress towards President Ernest Bai Koroma’s intentions and aspirations. Meticulously, life is how you make it. Â
There are countless other examples in life. If you desire success in gaining public trust, buoyancy and corruption free in the Koroma’s Administration, you need goals and you need to make plans to reach them. But without being a disciplined public servant who is willing to stay corruption free, attitude change and not in position to follow through dreams, unfortunately, your dreams are likely to remain just that – dreams and nothing more. Conclusively, our able President Dr. Ernst Bai Koroma is a successful leader and he has the habit of doing the things his predecessors failed to do. His predecessors detested doing all the good work either necessarily. But all said and done Mr. President, their attitudinal problems in disliking or the hate-redness of their country’s social and economic development and their voters goodies to enable them put food on their tables, had unequivocally subordinated  the strength of their purpose – so Pa Koroma, you win. Stay strong Mr. President Koroma. God will bless and protect you.
