President Koroma lectures in Kuwait
President Ernest Bai Koroma on Tuesday, 25th may 2010, gave a lecture at the GULF University of Science and Technology, (GUST).
The disclosure was made to the Information Bureau of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by the Foreign and International Cooperation Minister, Madam Hawa Zainab Bangura in a brief telephone interview from Kuwait City.
“As part of his visit, the President addressed the Chamber of Commerce, gave a lecture at the GULF University of Science and Technology on African Day, and opened an African exhibition,” the Foreign Minister told the Sierra Leone’s Mission Press Secretary in Riyadh, Alhaji Jalloh.
Gulf University for Science and Technology is the first private university established in Kuwait. GUST is a prestigious university in the Gulf region that has grown as a modern center of excellence for education and research in the fields of arts, sciences and business administration.
In a related development, Hon. Zainab Hawa Bangura also visited the Kuwait Diplomatic Institute, the first foreign visitor since the institute moved into its new building.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister has described their three days official visit to Kuwait as “very fruitful.”
