Sam Sumana Calls for Peace and Unity

A high-powered team of credible and experienced personalities of a national character dispatched by Chief Alhaji Samuel Sidique Sumana has massaged the four districts in the southern region of the country, with a strong message  of peace, reconciliation and unity.

The three days moping exercise was meant yo clear the way ahead of the  national delegates conferences of the party to firstly, ceremonially approve  Chief Sumana’s come-back to the party’s hierarchy as already endorsed by the National Advisory Council, and subsequently elected as the party’s front runner in the 2023 polls.

Led by former APC Kono district Chairman, Francis Gbondo aka Penepane, the team effectively engaged party stakeholders in Moyamba, Bonthe, Pujehun and Bo with good tidings from the former Vice President and Peace Ambassador.

Speaker after speaker reiterated the good will and determination of Chief Sam Sumana to bury the hatchet and march on in the interest of the party and national cohesion.

They told their audiences drawn from constituency, district and regional executives, youth league, women’s wing and veterans that Sam Sumana did not leave the Party on his volition and his considered decision to come back speaks volumes of how much he has the party and country at heart.

Having gone through the thick and thin of how to defeat political opponents, Chief Sam Sumana stands out as the most experienced and battle tested politician the APC can rely on to snatch power from the SLPP in 2023.

In Tihun, Bonthe District, the response was as positive and overwhelming as in Bo, Moyamba and Pujenhun.

The people assured the team of their unshakable support for Chief Sumana, and that they could not wait to see him in person.

In Pujehun, a Constituency Chairman extended apologies to Chief Sam Sumana on behalf of the entire district, for what he described as a “misinformed and miscalculated decision” against the then Vice President, which he said devastated the party in 2018 with adverse ripple effects eating deep into the fabric of the country.

He assured that it is pay back time.

In a relarted engagement, the team had previously visited Kenema and Kailahun in the east.
