WASSCE Forms Le750,000 Sierra Leone Moves From Frying Pot To Fire
In the latter days of the All People’s Congress (APC) party administration, Sierra Leoneans were crying here and there over what they described as the untold economic hardship precipitated by the rising prices of food and non-food items ravaging the country.
Against that backdrop, Sierra Leoneans in the March 2018 elections dumped the APC Government for the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) which promised heaven when elected into office.
Some of the SLPP top guns, particularly the current Minister of Finance, Jacob Jusu Saffa, during the campaigns, were all over the media bluffing that Sierra Leone’s economy will be stabilized in three months under an SLPP rule and the issue of bread and butter will be a thing of the past; a reason Sierra Leoneans voted the SLPP into governance.
Sadly though, it is now well over one year since the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) government of President Julius Maada Bio took over the governance of the country and by all indications, things are going from bad to worse.
Everything seems to be on the reverse under the new direction as inflation continues to make life hell for Sierra Leoneans.
The latest of this reverse is the recent hike in the price for the 2019 Private WASSCE forms which has gone up from Le 530,000 to Le 750,000.
This latest increase in the Private WASSCE form has now left many Sierra Leoneans wondering whether the New Direction Government is really serious about education which it so prioritized in it manifesto.
