Sierra Leone Fishing Company Association Wants Government to Succeed

Responding to various speakers last Friday, 297th March, 2019 at Committee Room 3 in Parliament, Mr. Bassem Mohamed stared by wishing speedy recovery to the three Sierra Leone Parliamentarians that involved in a horrific road accident in Rowanda.
He thanked the Chairman for Committee on Fishery in Parliament for their corporation over what he described as busy period and pledged their continuous cooperation as an association for the Government to succeed in that area of investment.
“It is important that the chief protein is always available and supply in the market’’, he told his audience and debunked the perception among people that fish are often smuggled for exportation purpose and clearly explained that they are discharging over 67% of the fish extracted within the country.
He demonstrated readiness for any discussion or negotiation to regulate activities in the marine or fishing sector and concluded by extended gratitude to the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Committee on Fishery and all participants in the meeting for fruitful interaction.
