Syke Rangers Football Foundation Boosts 40 Young Players

An organization known as Syke Rangers Football Foundation with the motto “Football for education” has donated various players’ equipment including boots, shirts and trousers, shin guards, socks, number of football, hand gloves, water bottles worth about Le20M.

Addressing parents and young players comprised under 12 and 14 at the National Stadium Practice Field, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the foundation, Ernest T. Musa described the event as a day everybody would always remember and emphasized on the need for every player in and out of the foundation to be educated for the fact the he said, a player is nothing without education if his/her football career fails.

He said the organization aimed at giving hope, courage and joy to the needy children and mentioned that many children will develop various skills of the game before the end of the five years contract which has already been signed between the Foundation and parents.

Ernest T. Musa maintained that he is doing everything out of his little resources in collaboration with his technical team without external aid for the progress of the foundation because he said; he has love and passion for the game adding that the foundation which started operation in 2016 will be officially launched in December 30th 2018 in the presence of various football stakeholders from across the country.

He described the Foundation as non-profit making and emphasized that changing lives of those vulnerable children is the topmost priority of the Foundation. He realized the fact that it was not easy to form such a foundation because children in the foundation must go to school. He spoke about his cordial relationship with the parents of the children in the foundation and expressed happiness over the large turnout of parents in the donation and signing ceremony. He concluded that they hold or organize fitness training every Saturday to keep the kids energetic and skilful.

In his presentation, F C Johanson Coach, Abdulai Bah aka Coach Kaluga expressed thankfulness to Syke Ranger Football Foundation for what he described as a well don job and advised that if the foundation grows, all of us shall share the success. He encourage parent to monitor their children to ensure they do the right thing. He assured that he would be coming around to render technical assistant when the need arises.

Doctor for Blackpool FC, Joseph Boss Cole encouraged parents to report their children if they fall ill and if they are not regular in school while the Assistant Coach for the Foundation, Mohamed Thoronka admonished children to concentrate in their studies and assured parents that the Football their children are playing will not affect their education. He disclosed that the exercise was important not only for the Foundation but for the country at large.

Speaking on behalf of colleagues Under 12, the Captain for the team, Michael A. Sesay expressed gratefulness to God to make them join what he described as a darling family and recognized the caring executive and technical team towards their welfare. “Our parents have made us believe that this is a family build on solid foundation”, said the Captain. He concluded by assuring all that present that they will work assiduously to achieve their dreams.
