Sierra Leone Police To Recruit 1,000
In a well attended police press conference held at their headquarters on Thursday 18th October, 2018, the Police Media One ASP Brima Kamara updated Members of the Forth Estate that the Sierra Leone Police is targeting to recruit 1,000 Sierra Leoneans that are within the age bracket of 18-35 at the time of recruitment. ASP Kamara further updated this press that one should have 3 credits in WASSCE including Mathematics and English, or 4 credits in NCTVA, to be legible for short listing.
“The essence of such a massive recruitment is to replace retirees or would be retirees. In addendum to the set criteria, applicants must be physically fit, mentally sound and medically fit and should be ready for police training ranging from 2-10 weeks. Allowances will be provided at the PTS for training personnel. It is a must to pass the professional entrance examination before an individual is short listed for an interview. Pregnant women are not encouraged to apply, even if anyone is found pregnant during the course of training, would be immediately released”, presented ASP Kamara.
This Medium was also intimated by the well composed Media One that the Sierra Leone Police, pays based on the qualifications attained by police officers, adding that the requirement needed of specialists is just to attempt the WASSCE. In a nut shell, ASP Brima Kamara with a smiling face announced the Application Website of the SLP www.police.gov.sl and urged those that are interested to visit their web page and apply As Soon As Possible (ASAP), as the closing date for applications is 31st October, 2018.
