As He Gives Out False Information Press Secretary Embarrasses Bio’s Gov’t
The Management of the privately owned corporate oil marketing company, National Petroleum Sierra Leone, has refuted a statement that was recently made by the current SLPP State House Press Secretary, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi (in photo), during the ‘Good Morning Salone’ programme on Radio Democracy FM 98.1 on Tuesday 10 July 2018, purporting that the company exported petroleum products worth more than $3 million to neighboring Liberia in December and February, allegedly with the motive to exploit the difference in price.
“We want to inform the general public that NP (SL) has never exported petroleum product to Liberia or any other country for that matter,” they highlighted in a Press Release.
They also furthered that NP (SL) is a privately owned and responsible corporate oil marketing company that conducts business in strict compliance with industry regulations as set forth by Government and their supervising agency.
Concluding, they urged the State House Press Secretary, Yusuf Keketoma Sandi to cross-check his facts before making erroneous or unmerited statements, which according to them have the propensity to engender public disaffection as well as smearing their hard-earned corporate image.
As at press time, all efforts by this medium to contact Mr. Sandi has proven futile as he refused to pick neither our calls nor respond the text message sent to him.
