SWASAL Pays Courtesy Call on New Sports Minister

“SWASAL is not new to me.  I want to assure you and make a commitment that our government through my ministry will continue our relationship with you and the good marriage between us will continue stronger,” Nyelenkeh said during a courtesy call by SWASAL on Wednesday, 16th May 2018, at his office at Bishop House in Freetown.

The Sports Minister noted that the media does have a critical role to play and working within the regulations, his ministry will always be ready to work 100% with the sports journalist parent body to help shaped sports in the country through the new direction.

Earlier, the SWASAL President, Frank Cole, congratulated the new Minister on behalf of the Association and thanked His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio for appointing such a young and vibrant minister.

He said, “We’ll give our support to you and your ministry to see how best our relationship will help towards the improvement of sports in our country.”

The Director of Sports, Ibrahim Bangura reechoed his minister statement and promise SWASAL of further engagement.
