Female Candidate for FBC SU Election
Students of Fourah Bay College have made a new history. This time around, members of the ‘Black Family’ at FBC have chosen a female candidate for the students’ Union election which is due on the 28th May 2010. A female student by the name of Francess Mark is the potential candidate for the forth coming Student Union election at FBC. Miss Marke is a student of the faculty of Social Sciences and in the department of peace and conflict studies.
Gel Gives Award
Global Centre for leadership (GEL) is in readiness to award two heroes of Sierra Leone. The award is said to be given to former president Tejan Kabbah and Ernest Bai Koroma. They said the award is in recognition of good leadership and the transformational efforts in re-branding Sierra Leone in terms of commitment to the rule of law, democratic values and respect for human dignity in post conflict Sierra Leone. This special award ceremony is schedule to happen between the 25th and 27th June, 2010, in Freetown, and the ceremony will be broadcasted over 52 member states.
JJ Blood Molests Alpha Khan
Opposition SLPP ‘J.J. Blood’ molested Hon. Alpha Khan on a ‘Tea Break’ programme yesterday morning. Listeners who paid keen attention to their radio sets were weary over such obscene word “Stupid†to have come out of the mouth of somebody who should lead an exemplary life, more especially when it was aired on a nationwide broadcasting.
SLPP Supporters Blast ‘Puawi’
An anonymous SLPP supporter has blasted the popular columnist, Dr. Sama Banya over what he was convinced to be an SLPP victory in Pujehun. According to this supporter he remarked that what Banya claimed to be an overwhelming victory over its two arch rivals – APC and PMDC could be seen as a big blow to the party and every sober -minded SLPP supporters. Â
