As 4,000 Defect SLPP, APC Catches Another Batallion

As they continue to loose grounds in their once regarded strongholds in the east and south of the country, and suffer reduction in numbers day in and day out, the main opposition, Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), has yet again suffered one of the heaviest political blows as over 4,000 former supporters of their party have defected to the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) Party in the Pujehun district.

The 4,000+ former SLPP supporters in Constituency 101 that comprises Sorogbeme and Makpele chiefdoms in Pujehun district, have applied and filled their APC Membership Cards. This is by far the largest defection of SLPP members to the ruling APC. The cards were presented to Dr. Samura Kamara, the APC presidential candidate past Monday whilst on campaign tour in Pujehun district.
