7 Criminals Escape from Police Cell
At this crucial moment when the people of Sierra Leone are concerned for a violent free, fair and credible elections, news has broken out that as a result of security lapses at the Eastern Police Division, about seven click boys who committed serious offenses have escaped from detention.
According to reliable sources within the Police Station, at around 8pm on Wednesday February 7th 2018, seven out of eighteen cliques and gangs members who have caused so many atrocities against peaceful citizens through their terrorist activities escaped from custody.
Investigation revealed that the security blunder took place immediately after one officer Kalokoh handed over duty to the OPPS who was accused of being in the influence of alcohol.
Sources stated that because the officer in-charge was in a state of drunkenness, he couldn’t remember to lock up the door, thereby given way for the notorious criminals to escape narrowly without being noticed by any Police officer at the station.
Contacting the Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Eastern Police Division, Mr. Bandabla on the reason for such a big security blunder, he responded in a vexed and guilty mood that the issue is irrelevant to him as far as security is concerned adding that he has other security matters to attend with the Office of National Security (ONS).
