Rio Olympic Games: Sierra Leone quartet in action this week

The swimming duo; Osman Kamara and Bunturabie Jalloh will be the first set to compete on Thursday August 11 and Friday the 12 in the Men’s and Women’s 50m freestyle event at the aquatic Stadium in the Olympic Park.

Kamara is in heat 2 against; Nikolas Sylvester, Bourhan Abro of Djibouti, Abdelaziz Ahmed Mohamed of Sudan, Niger’s Albachir Mouctar,  Emerric Kpegba of Togo, Thierry Tindwende Sawadogo of Burundi and Dienov Andres Koka of Congo.

The following day will be the Women’s action and Bunturabie Jalloh will come up against the likes of Sudanese Haneen Ibrahim, Laraiba Seibou of Benin and Guinea’s Mariama Djoulde Sow.

On Friday August 12 and Saturday 13 August, young sprinter Ishmail Dudu Kamara and Hafsatu Kamara will take the track respectively for the 100m sprint preliminaries. The tournament organisers are yet to name all the sprinters into their heat and who their opponent will be.
