As Constituency 096 Lag Behind Electorates Calls for Change

A well recorded event has exposed the law maker for constituency 096, Hon. Alhassan Kamara that he has done little or nothing to foster unity among constituents especially Kola Tree and members of the Mount Zion community, Calaba Town in Freetown as it was exhibited recently by the refusal of Zion Youths to fully participated in a meeting called by the MP aimed at captivating mindset of constituents to recognize him as a hard working representative as he has not only cried down for neglecting the area developmental initiatives over the years but they were also yearning for change of representation in the forthcoming parliamentary election to enhance the desirable development and avoid antagonism between the two communities.

The Zionists insisted that they will never be part of an assembly whose focus was not to help poor people in the name of God but to clean the battered image of the so-called MP as the people were in great amazement to see their representative accompanied by a high number of television, radio and Newspapers Journalists to cover his first ever gifts comprised of books and toys which he distributed among pupils since he was elected to serve them.

In that regard, the disappointed indigenes viewed the action of the people’s representative as a means to sell his image so that he can be recognize by His Excellency Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and the APC party big guns for the fact that he never think about them until he was published in the media. They compared the amount of money the MP spent on Journalists as allegedly more than the amount of currency he utilized to buy the trumpeted furniture’s for the children.

Consequently, the frustrated electorates are unanimously calling on APC stalwarts for change of leadership in that jurisdiction by awarding party symbol to other competent gentleman who will have the people at the bottom of his heart or else they will divert their course by turning around and vote for any SLPP candidate who may stand against the APC aspirant.

They described the 4 four 4 system of voting as not the solution to solve the prevailing issues of this country and they therefore vowed never to repeated what they called “Big mess” and they frowned on politicians who only come their way when elections are at the corner and abandoned them after gaining power.

According to them Hon. Alhassan Kamara wasn’t intended to consider them this time round but they blessed certain media practitioners for forcing him to donate items in the community which costs meagre amount of money.

“We are mocked by members of the opposition that our MP has become invisible in the eyes of his APC supporters” some wise women grumbled and they supported the idea of change of leadership for the general growth of the constituency and the country as a whole.

Contacting the MP to clear the air, he rejected the phone call but he had earlier told this medium that he has no problem with the people of Mount Zion who have frowned on him for the past years as a result of his laggardness to liaise with constituents.

However, the Zionists alleged that their MP was acting against them by disseminating baseless information to Journalists that they are not only misguided young men but he also described them as land grabbers but the Zion strong men argued that it is the MP who illegally occupied about two acres of land which was put aside for cemetery purpose and noted that they were legally brought into the land by Government in 1996 after it was declared as state property by the SLPP erstwhile minister, Hon. Alfred Bobson Sesay.

The MP assured that he is always ready and willing to work with his constituent’s whenever he is call upon and admonished his subjects to remain calm and peaceful for the general development of the constituency and the country as a whole.
