Tengbeh Town Murder 3 Suspects Indicted
Senior Detective at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters at Pademba Road, Freetown, confirmed to Sierra Express Media that three suspects were indicted with offences ranging from conspiracy to murder to murder in relation with the alleged killing of Patrick Bangura at his Tengbeh Town residence during odd hours by the suspects.
According to the Senior Detective, the suspects are expected to appear in court.
Report states that some of the arrested suspects with little evidence adduced from them were released from police custody on the instruction of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Lawyer Sulaiman Bah.
It could be recalled that sometime in February this year, the deceased Patrick Bangura went mysteriously missing from his home during odd hours. The incident of his death was later discovered by his wife and neighbours.
The matter was reported to the Congo Cross Police Station and several people were arrested as suspects by the police but later released for want of evidence.
Sierra Express Media also gathered that a teenage girl residing in the same compound with the deceased witnessed the perpetrators dumping the corpse of the deceased into the toilet used by the entire residents of the compound, which caused a dramatic twist in the entire police investigation.
The revelation of the teenage girl led to the arrest of the three suspects and others alleged to have masterminded the plot against the deceased.
The alleged killing of Patrick Bangura, according to close sources, could not be unconnected with property ownership.
