Minister of State donates Le 40 Million school materials

The Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Dr. Patrick Saidu Conteh,  on Friday, May 6th 2016, donated school materials  worth Le 40 million to eight schools in Kamakwie .

He told the pupils to be steadfast in their education as it is not easy to access education these days because of the plenty of money and time involved. He further encouraged them to focus on their studies.

The minister recalled that the time he was going to school there was no light so they had to use locally made lamps (campo) to study, adding that he acquired his first degree in Economics at Fourah Bay College (FBC), and later went for further studies to get his ACCA.

He told them that the pens he was distributing to them was powerful than an atomic bomb in the world and entreated them to make good use of the donated learning materials.

Principal Wesleyan Secondary School, Kamakwie (W.S.S.K), U.M Dumbuya, Head Master of RC Primary School, Mr. Fofanah, Miss Bangura of B.D.E.C Primary School, Kamakwie, and others  expressed thanks  and appreciation to the minister for his kind gesture.
