Blackmailing Hon. Musa Tarawallie is evil
In a well coordinated attempt to smear the reputation of the hard working Minister of Lands, Musa Tarawallie, a group of old and vulnerable people were made to hold placards in protest over what they described as the sale of their lands by the Land’s Minister.
This wicked and orchestrated move by some greedy land hustlers came at a time when the President was visiting the Clay Factory and other communities in the East end of Freetown. From our investigations, it was clear that this group of land hustlers is not happy over the prudent reforms put in place in the distribution of state land by Mr. Musa Tarawalie since he took over the Lands Ministry.
When confronted by this writer most of the so called grassroots demonstrators could not explain or convince this writer on the legitimacy they hold to the lands they were protesting for. One of the protesters had this to say; “Dem say wae Pa Ernest kam, mek we show am dem paper ya …we for say nar d minister don sell all we land dem.” Loosely translated, the 60 year old protester (who cannot be named) said they were told to hold the placards for the visit of the president and give him the impression that the Minister had illegally snatched our lands and sold them off to richer clients.
I hold no beef for Mr MusaTarawalie, but I am allergic to the practice of Sierra Leoneans twisting the facts to suit their purposes. Using poor and vulnerable people to hoodwink the president against hardworking officials in his government is not only callous but criminal. It is a manifestation of the level of desperation of some of our compatriots who have made it the habit of enriching themselves through state resources.
This writer is poised to expose the shenanigans of these desperate fools. And it’s not only for Musa Tarawallie but for other selfless and hardworking government officials.
