Sierra Leone national team coach Sillas Teteh has told www.Footballsierraleone.net that he has not run away or abandoned the Leone Stars job as reported by local media in Sierra Leone but rather went to attend to family issue in Ghana.  “After the Chad game when we returned I traveled to Ghana to see my family and to get a little rest, and this was done by the noticed by both the SLFA and the GFA,” he said.

According to him he said I still have more time as my contract will expire on the 15th of November 2015, as me and the FA President Isha Johansen are on good terms.

The world cup winner coach stressed that he needs more time to get the team prepared for future competition.

With this short time I played three matches wherein I was able to win one, draw one and lost one, this shows we still have more to do.

On his short stint with the team “as a coach, Tough challenges like this bring experience. I would have loved to have a longer period to work with the players and buildup a formidable national team and to know the players well.

The Ghanaian tactician pointed out that it will be nice if his contracted will be extended as he is on the building process, I cannot say anything now if the FA seems to give me an extension so be it but football is all about time he said.
