According to the deceased’s husband, Mr. Ibrahim Osaio Sesay, he said that his late wife was complaining of pains at birth and that she was discharged after she delivered her baby on Saturday, October 17, adding that she was readmitted at the same medical hospital for a case of severe Malaria where she died.
He further explained that the medical report stated that his wife died of acute Malaria.
The President of the Sierra Leone Compact Disc Sellers Association, Mr. Gibrilla Turay, said the death of Aminata Bangura underscores the seriousness of the Malaria disease, which he said, is not being treated with the seriously it deserves.
“The city is in filthy which daily breeds mosquitoes in their millions which is why Malaria is so endemic in the city,” Turay said.
He called on the Government of Sierra Leone and its friends to act more decisively to eradicate Malaria in Sierra Leone.
