DMO Demands Transfer of “Mad” Registrar
The District Medical Officer Bo, Dr. Alhaji Sayni Turay (in photo), has demanded the instant transfer of the Assistant Registrar Births and Deaths, Daniel Bockarie who he has accused of being a lunatic and trouble shooter who does not follow his directives.
The DMO made the demand in a correspondence dated 9th September, 2015, and addressed to the Deputy Registrar of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.
Dr. Turay further accused Mr. Bockarie of being constantly abusive to his colleague workers in the Births and Death Unit and that he has very poor working relationship with all members of the District Health Management Team, further alleging that Mr. Bockarie is in the habit of taking to the press minor issues within the unit and the Health Ministry with the aim of tarnishing the good image of the ministry and workers of the DHMT.
The DMO described the Assistant Registrar as a woefully incompetent mad employee who has a very poor relationship with members of the public.
He added that Mr. Bockarie, sometime a go, went mad and was treated by native means, continuing that he has been manifesting signs and symptoms of madness periodically during which he would become completely uncontrollable and aggressive. Dr. Turay said he was no longer prepared to continue working with a mad man.
Although Mr. Bockarie could not be contacted for his own side of the story, information gathered by this press reveals that he has taken legal action against the DMO and that his lawyer have written a strongly worded letter instructing the DMO to withdraw his statements and compensate Mr. Bockarie for damaging his personality.
