Parliament opens a Book of Condolence for late MP

Director of Public Relations in Parliament, Cyril Juxon-Smith, said the late Hon. Dr. Thomas Mark Turay was representing Constituency 030 in Bombali District, also Chairman for the Bombali Caucus in Parliament and had just performed a major function in Makeni before he died few hours later.

Juxon-Smith expressed the hope that the late MP has left impressive foot prints in the corridors of Parliament.

Rev. Father John P. Bebeley of the Catholic Faith prayed fervently for the deceased and blessed the Book of Condolence. He noted further that the “late Thomas M. Turay had served his purpose on earth and has been called by the Lord through death for committal into the earth”. Preaching from the scriptures, he said “mankind has served his various interests, but has failed to serve the will of God”. He prayed for all present to serve the “Will of God”.

The Book of Condolence has already been signed by the President, the Vice President, the Acting Chief Justice, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, MPs, Leadership of parliament including Deputy Clerk and staff of Parliament, his wife, present and past Ministers of Government, relatives, friends, and sympathizers.

The late Hon. Dr. Thomas M. Turay will be finally laid to rest in Makeni, Bombali District on Saturday 19th September 2015. May His Soul Rest in Perfect Peace!
