Sankoh helped Balıkesirspor to first win

Sierra Leonean Turkish base Midfielder Alfred Sankoh was in action for Blikesirspor as he helped his club to their first season 2-0 win over Karabukspor on Saturday night.

The Midfielder, who missed their last fixture due to suspension of picking a red card in their league opener against Gaziantep BB, had his presence felt on the pitch for 62 minutes as he made way for young Turkish midfielder A.Yildiz after picking a yellow card some seconds’ later.

The Leone stars midfielder’s long pass which was converted by 25 years old Dutch striker Genaro Zeefiuk gave them the lead in the 55th min, while Mugdat Celik sealed the deserved win for the host on stoppage time 90+3, this win has place them in sixth position on the Turkish Lig 1table.

In Cyprus Mustapha Bangura was in action for his side Aris as they drew1-1 with Ermis at home, the former Old Edwardian striker had 66th min of playing time as he made way for Nigerian striker M Boniface seconds later.

Later on Saturday night Sierra Leonean David Simbo was in action for Najran SC as they went away to Al –Wahda. Simbo was the only African in the starting lineup of both teams as they were held to a 1-1 .The former Sudanese Al –Hilal defender has play 180 since he joined the Saudi Arabian club.

In the Swedish top flight AIK Slona had 1-0 win over Atvidaberg Club second leading goal scorer Mohamed Bangura had 90min of action but his name was not on the scoresheet over the weekend for his club. Also in the topflight Norrkoping Sierra Leonean Striker Alhaji Kamara did not have a taste of football this weekend as his side had a convincing win over Falkenberg. Kamara was on the bench till full time.

Elsewhere in the Swedish suppehatan Ibrahim teteh Bangura was not in the Mjallby squad that hosted Osterunds FK in a 1-0 win Sunday Night. The former Bursaspor striker has only played for 5min since he signed for the club a month ago.

However Kamara is still the MLS leading goal scorer with 18 goals second to former Juventus striker Sebastian Giovinco with 17 goals.
