Dutch Coach Projects winning plans for Sierra Leone

Tahseen Jabbary, one of the six coaches shortlisted by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to take over the Sierra Leone national football team, Leone Stars, as head coach has said in an interview with this medium on Facebook, ahead of his interview with SLFA, he has already completed an eighteen page proposal titled Winning plans for national teams’; despite this was not made especially for Sierra Leone it will be used in Sierra Leone if he is named as the country’s new coach by the FA.

The 48 year old Dutch coach said the only philosophy he thinks he can have now is to try to get the players to get results as a team and not individuals. He said he saw that in the team last year when they played Ivory Coast despite they lost but they played a very clinical football game and with his philosophy being instilled into them he believes we can have a formidable team to compete in subsequent qualifiers.

“I’m looking at players with Sierra Leonean heritage who have been born or brought up in other countries. Most of these players, let’s be honest, most of them will want to play for this nation; if only the structure is there they will be happy. I will only cater for those playing in higher or competitive leagues with Sierra Leone, these players have the chance of regularly, if they are good, to play in the team. It is definitely something I am looking at if I have the job. I will then back them up with the current crop of old players to make a team which even the lay Sierra Leonean will be happy for because it will have a rich blend and mixture.”

Tahseen Jabbary is a Dutch professional association football coach. He was coach of Syrian team Al-Majd at the 2009 AFC Cup and later coached the Omani team Al Arouba.
