For lack of proper documentation Parliament defers probing of three ministries

The said ministries were arraigned before members of parliament to give proper account on monies allocated to them by government for the 2014 fiscal year to be spent on behalf of the people of Sierra Leone.
Labour ministry was stand down for failing to present documents for monies spent on vulnerable groups and the poor breakdown of billions of Leones while the Fisheries ministry was sent home for failing to produce and account for three billion Leones.
The Ministry of Water Resources was also stand down by the committee for presenting inaccurate and misleading and documentation.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development charged with the responsibility to disburse funds to MDAs was also queried by the committee and also deferred for the other day.
The Chairman of the Committee on Supply, Hon. Claude Kamanda said they as a committee has an obligation to probe into the finances of MDAs without fear or favour.
