SLAJ Subscription
Freetown – The Financial Secretary of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists wishes to inform all members of the association to kindly honour their monthly subscription. Since the last elections in November 2008, very few members have done so which is adversely affecting the operations of the association.
SLAJ Members may have noticed a significant expansion in the activities of the association in recent times. We have not only been meeting only our domestic responsibilities but also our international obligations. This year, we have paid our arrears, which ran into several hundred US dollars, with the Federation of African Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists with the latter spanning several years.
Members wishing to honour their subscription should contact the SLAJ headquarters at 56 Campbell Street, Freetown on Monday through Friday from 09:00 – 17:00. They will duly be issued with a receipt and their names will be recorded in a ledger to underscore transparency and accountability which has been the hallmark of our Executive.
Those registered in the provinces should contact their regional Financial Secretary in Bo, Makeni or Kenema.
