Bangura to fight for his place
AIK Slona and Leone Stars striker Ibrahim Teteh Bangura has told Football Sierra Leone that he is “hungry to do well and is fighting for his place” in the team, according to the Striker.
Bangura has not tasted 90 min football this season in all competitions, having only been featured as a substitute on several occassions.
AIK Coach A. Alm has preferred using the likes of Nigerian Igboananike and Ghanaian Karikari ahead of the club one time top scorer, while injured Goitom impending return is also set to increase the competition upfront at the Friends Arena.
However, he told www.FootballSierraleone.net tha he remains committed to the club and will work harder inorder to regain his favour as the club point striker also winning Alms’ favour and is demonstrating his professionalism by applying himself in training.
“Bangura is a professional player who has international experience. He is still valuable to the team,” says former AIK and Leone Stars teammate Mohamed Bangura they only need to give him some time to get to his best, adding once he is at his best no one can take him from there the Istanbul BB Striker said.
“He has been working hard in training and he will get his chance. A player of his caliber will always command respect in any team because there is a lot that the young players can learn from him,” adds Bangura.
