In the Bumbuna substation, the monitoring system was also down and the Minister asked that these minor problems be amended for effective work.

He also asked the Permanent Secretary to facilitate and provide an interface phone system at the center so that the center can communicate with all units and departments. The new Test Van or Fault detector was also shown to the Ministers and according to Ing. Edward Parkinson, this vehicle helps them detect faults, network and even in the repair process.

In addressing workers of both stations, the Minister thanked them and appreciated their effort in keeping the stations alive – he termed Black Hall Road workers as champions of electricity supply as this station was well known for its service to the city. He then termed Falcon Bridge workers as the operation center for receiving and distributing electricity all around Freetown. The minister further lavished praise on Black Hall Road for keeping the compound clean and working friendly adding that the team of Ministers is a proactive one for nothing but progress. He clarified the confusion and doubts about the unbundling process and the need for all to work hard for not only ourselves but for the children. He promised to upgrade the Falcon Bridge facility which to him was an eye sure.

Responding, representatives of the two stations thanked their bosses (Timbo and Garvie) for bringing the new Ministers to them and for the promises to improve the facilities. They pledged their loyalty to their Directors to be and the Ministers.
