Bishop Abu Koroma flames Europe
Founder and President of the Flaming Evangelical Ministries in Sierra Leone, Bishop Frederick Abu Koroma is currently flaming European countries spreading the word of God.
The spiritual leader, whose team also include his wife, Mrs Linda Abu Koroma and other leading members of his Ministry in the Diaspora held a three-day crusade in the Holland city of Roosandal which attracted thousands of worshippers of different nationalities, all spell-bound with the oratory of the Bishop.
Earlier before kicking-off with his crusade, the man-of-God paid a courtesy visit to the Sierra Leone Embassy in Brussels to announce his presence to the Ambassador since Holland is one of six countries accredited to the Embassy. He offered prayers for the well-being of the Embassy staff, their families as well as Sierra Leoneans fighting for survival in the Diaspora.
In his welcome address, Ambassador Sorie, praised the spiritual father for the initiative to pay a courtesy call as the Embassy is the home away from home for every Sierra Leonean. He touched on the religious tolerance prevailing in Sierra Leone which has made the country an envy for others around the world.
He admonished all to look at Bishop Koroma as a role-model, taking into consideration his humble beginnings but with hardwork, steadfastness and sincerity of purpose, the name Bishop Abu Koroma and his Ministry have today become household names not only in Sierra Leone but world over.
Ambassador Sorie reiterated that Bishop Koroma’s role in Sierra Leone is not only limited in preaching the word of God, but stretched further in advocating for peace, mentioning as an example the bringing together of President Ernest Bai Koroma and the then Presidential candidate of the opposition SLPP, Julius Maada Bio after the 2012 Presidential elections.
He furthered that Bishop Koroma’s social activities also include the provision of pipe-borne drinking water in deprived communities like Ascension Town where his Church is located, Kingtom, Spur Loop etc. and feeding of thousands of children during the Christmas and Easter periods.
The Bishop thanked the Lord God for all He has done for him in his entire life. “Through the help of the Lord I have received so many awards, both locally and internationally and I praised the Lord for that”.
He disclosed that he is presently constructing a 6,500 (Six Thousand five hundred) Seater Church in Sierra Leone, which when completed early next year, will eventually become the biggest Church in Sierra Leone.
He assured that his Ministry will continue to partner with the government in the maintenance of peace and political tolerance in the country. “With the help of God and with fervent prayers, no problem is insurmountable”.
The Bishop and team arrived in Holland after holding a successful crusade in the UK and will proceed further to Italy, Kenya and Australia.
