Robin Faley promotes religious tolerance in Port Loko
The APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary II, Robin Faley is promoting religious tolerance in Port Loko District by supporting, mobilizing and sponsoring youths to embark on cleaning exercises of mosques and churches within the township.
The massive cleaning exercises commenced on 2nd July, 2014 which coincided with the Holy Month of Ramadan, an initiative embraced by youths in Port Loko as it would result to a healthy and clean environment for thousands of not only Muslims but other residents in the community.
Sheik Abdul Rahman, Chief Imam of Falaba Road Mosque described the exercise a big blessing for the township for which he commended Robin Faley for his positive contributions to advance the Muslim faith in the country.
The Chief Imam also called on other politicians and well-wishers to emulate the good example of Mr. Faley adding, “Robin Faley is a Christian from Kailahun District but is supporting the Muslim faith and therefore deserves praise. Allah will surely bless him for promoting religious tolerance.”
The Public Relations Officer of the Mosque, Budunka referred to Robin Faley as a true disciple of President Ernest Bai Koroma adding that he has always promoted religious tolerance and respects other faiths”
According to PRO Budunka, during the Holy Month of Ramadan and Christmas periods, Robin Faley always provides food to Muslims and Christians in his former Constituency 007 in Segbwema, Kailahun District.
A devout Muslim, Haja Fatmata Fofanah said that Robin Faley has always associated himself with positive things that would enhance the development of the country citing the ongoing construction of a mini-stadium in Segbwema, providing scholarships to deserving pupils and students and sensitizing people about the deadly Ebola virus which has claimed the lives of many Sierra Leoneans.
Meanwhile, ten Mosques in the township will benefit from the cleaning exercise with a bag of rice to each Imam for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
