President Bai Koroma Squash Tournament ends
The Chairman of Racket and Squash Association in Sierra Leone, Umaru Kakay, has expressed delight that the President Bai Koroma Squash Tournament ended colorfully in grand style.
The Chairman made the remark in a jam-packed gathering comprising the Minister of Sports, Hon. Paul Kamara, Mercury Chief Executive Officer, Mr Hasim Hassaniyeh, SLRTC – Chairman of Board, Mr. Maya Kaikai and dozens of high profile dignitaries that were gracing the closing and prize giving ceremony held past Saturday at the Armed Forces Squash Court in Wilberforce, Freetown.
He thanked Mercury International for sponsoring the tournament and also lauded the efforts of all those who played vital roles in making the tourney a big success.
Chairman Kakay noted that the tournament was organized in recognition of President Koroma’s tremendous efforts in promoting squash and other sports in the country.
It is expected that Chairman Kakay together with two squash players will represent this country in the coming Commonwealth Games in Scotland this month to bring laurels back home.
