MP denies taking part in a dubious scheme
Freetown, June 10 (SLENA) – The Member of Parliament for Constituency 105, Hon. Ibrahim Kamara has told journalists that he will not take any responsibility of those who were apparently duped by Street Life Organization for the Iraq and Kuwait programme as alleged in one of the local tabloids, published in the Monday edition of 9 June 2014 titled “MP Named in Dubious Scheme”.
In a snap press conference, the MP said, among other things, that the allegation was false and baseless and that scam could have been done only by few people who wanted to smear his image and hard earned reputation.
He lamented that he has nothing to do with the general activities of Street Life Organization let alone having a relationship with it CEO when he personally funded his drive and personal assistance when they told him about the said Sierra Leone-Iraq programme.
Hon. Kamara aka Prezo said since he became a Member of Parliament, he had directly and indirectly helped a number of young people in other constituencies, some to enhance their capacity which to him was paramount, noting that what he could have done for the victims was to alert the authorities to retrieve their monies.
Hon Ibrahim Kamara pleaded with the entire membership of his constituency to engage him directly over such blatant allegations made against his person instead of making those dangerous allegations in order to damage his reputation.
