32 Subscribers Win Le595 M

Since the promotion commenced to yesterday Sunday 11th May, 2014, thirty-five subscribers have won Le 670 million while 131 have won 268, 000 units top-up vouchers.
On Friday 9th May, 2014, Africell held its fifth presentation ceremony of Le 175 million to seven subscribers from shows held from Friday 2nd May to Thursday 8th May, 2014 in accordance with the ongoing Africell ‘Crazy Cash’ promotion launched on 7th April, 2014.
Also on Friday 18th April, 2014, the company launched its 099 code at the company’s headquarters, Wilberforce, Freetown.
The lucky winners in the ongoing Africell ‘Crazy Cash’ promotion are Tejan Bah, a trader residing in Lunsar with cell phone 077 586553; Mohamed L. Turay, a Carpenter of Kenema with cell phone number 088 685552; Hawa Kebbie, a trader residing in Kono with cell phone number 077 861009 and James K. Kamara, a SSS II pupil of Kolenten Secondary School, Kambia with cell phone number 077 964529.
The other winners are Ibrahim Koroma, a driver in Bo with cell phone number 088 300801; Ibrahim Kamara, a trader residing in Mattru Jong, Bonthe District with cell phone number 088 378295 and Kai Bundu Banya, a trainee Nurse in Swegbema, Kailahun District with cell phone number 088 027440.
The objective of the innovative promotion, ‘Crazy Cash’, launched on Monday 7th April, 2014 ahead of Sierra Leone’s 53rd Independence Anniversary on 27th April, was to demonstrate the company’s generosity, creativity and novelty in rewarding its numerous and valuable subscribers.
The promotion broadcast live on the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation Television from 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily linking African Independent Radio and other major radio stations in the country, has attracted many subscribers.
Africell’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Joe Abass Bangura stated that the promotion is named due to the level of generosity the company has displayed that does not make sense to the ordinary mind adding, “the Crazy Cash!! Promotion will run from Monday 7th April and has been extended to Sunday 18th May, 2014 due to the demand by subscribers for which the company will have to make a total payment of Le 500 million which is unbelievable and is generating enthusiasm and excitement for subscribers.”
He further reminded winners about the provisions in the Finance Act 2008 which states that all winnings in lottery from Le 500,000 and above are subject to 10% tax which the company deducts from the winnings of individuals for onward payment to the National Revenue Authority (NRA).
Joe Abass Bangura affirmed that Africell is proud of maintaining its record as the GSM Company that is giving back the most to its subscribers reiterating, “Africell wishes to announce that the promotion has been extended for an additional two weeks and the total payout now far exceeds Le 500 million. Extension of the date has provided an opportunity for at least seventy more subscribers to benefit from the promotion. Together, we will continue to make history in our beloved country. Africell’s Head of Media Section, Nancy L. Joseph further enlightened that for a subscriber to qualify for the daily draws, he/she must recharge 100 units for the daily electronic draws and that every additional 100 units recharged would give subscribers more chances of winning.
She continued, “the more you recharge 100 units, the greater your winning chances. Furthermore, when a subscriber recharges 25 or 50 units, it will accumulate to 100 units to qualify for a chance. Africell is the best, easiest and cheapest network as every 100 units will give subscribers 2,000 units or Le10 million.”
Nancy L. Joseph reiterated that the recharge period to be covered in daily draws would be from midnight of the previous day to 11:00 p.m. of the next day disclosing, “if a subscriber wants to know how many chances he/she has won for a day, the individual should send a blank message to 966 and urged, “rush now and recharge 100 units daily.”
Tommy Terry-Coker, Africell’s Media Relations Supervisor, who chaired the ceremony, called on subscribers and winners to disseminate the good news underscoring that the promotion is one of the best ways for the company to celebrate the country’s independence stressing, “the promotion is to generously reward subscribers nationwide for their loyalty to the company.”
He underscored that the ‘Crazy Cash’ promotion would enable subscribers to win Le 25 million and 2,000 units among other attractive prizes daily revealing, “the more you recharge 100 units, the greater your chances of becoming a millionaire between now to 18th May, 2014.”
He further disclosed that the Star Prize of Le25 million is now fixed till the end of the extension period of two weeks adding, “as of yesterday Sunday 4th May, 2014, seven Africell subscribers have each won Le10 million, seven others each won Le15 million, six each bagged 20 million, eight each clinched Le 25 million while 112 each won 2,000 units.
Five electronic draws are held daily in which four subscribers will each win 2,000 units and one star prize of Le 25 million daily.
Since the commencement of the promotion cumulative statistics shows that seven subscribers each won Le 10 Million totaling Le 70 million, seven subscribers each won Le 15 million amounted to Le 105 million, six subscribers each won Le 20 million amounted to Le 120 million and twelve subscribers each won Le 25 million sum-up to Le 300 million.
