SLBS Corporatized
The Chairman of the Transitional Management Team for the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation has disclosed that one hundred and sixty nine skeletal staff from the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service (SLBS) and United Nations Radio are to be on a three month contract to take the institution through a smooth transition. Abubakarr Tejan Jalloh said the President has submitted the names of members of the board of trustees to parliament for approval. Mr. Jalloh said the team was working to ensuring a successful transitional process. The law that transformed the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service from a state broadcaster into a corporate entity was enacted in January this year.
