Radio Mankneh is 20 years old
It is said to be the oldest community radio in Sierra Leone, Radio Mankneh-95.1 established on 14th March 1994. It was broadcasting on AM 15.20 meter band and was initially located at Mankneh village on the outskirts of Makeni city and currently at Mabanta village. Mr. Mohamed Sankoh is one of the beginners of Radio-Mankneh 95.1. Ten years later he became Station Manager to-date. The radio has positively changed the Community with educational, objective, and entertaining radio programs over the years.
Listeners relentlessly dish out their gratitude through calls and text messages for the radio’s magnificent broadcasts and transmission. However, Station Manager Sankoh says salary and welfare remain a challenging problem.
