FA Cup Second Division competition: Kellie FC vow to upset Big Guns
One of the most improved youth clubs Second Division side, Kellie FC who are currently undergoing intensive training sessions at the hockey pitch at Wilberforce Barracks, are in preparation to withstand the big clubs for the coming Sierra Leone Football Association cup and Second Division league competitions.
Kellie FC who are known for beautiful football are currently one of the best Second Division clubs in the Western Area who are difficult to crack as they are good in all departments.
Even though there are several competitions for every position the team’s star players who are exceptional are Goal Keeper Kawuta Buffon who is currently rated as one of the most intelligent Goal Keepers, and rocky Defenders Tamba Bonkai Alie and Kai Kamara who are both difficult to break at center defense.
The flair of the team’s responsibilities lies on the head of their midfield maestro, Osman Tolo and Ma-Boi who are good at good ball passing, drilling and accurate shooting power.
The magic behind the success of the team victory and popularity lie in their twin Strikers who are known to terrorize Defenders, Musa Kamara and Nyarke as both are good in the air, and are perfect finishers.
In 2013 alone they played 32 matches against premier class, First and Second Division sides and were victorious in 20 matches, drew 7 and lost only 5.
Speaking to this press, the master tactician of the club, Coach Aruna Kamara said the motivation, fighting spirit and bravely of the team are as a result of the courage and financial support coming from the clubs Chief Executive Officer, Chairman Kellie Elijah who is based in England.
“As far as the club is concerned chairman Elijah Kellie always provides us with boots, shin guards, vests, bibs, training corns, abundant footballs, and financial incentives which have made us to play rise in the game and trust me, we will upset big teams in the FA,” he said.
