Shilton and Anabi get Retired Hero appointments

Sierra Express Media (SEM) and Radio Kalleone FM 105.7 Sports Reporter Peter Amara Makieu popularly known as Peter Shilton, and Trade Unionist, Anabi Issa Sesay, have both grabbed appointments from the executive of the Retired National Football Heroes Foundation on Saturday, February 1 at the foundation’s secretariat at the National Stadium in Freetown.

Shilton who plays as Left Back in the National Veterans Team was appointed as Acting Public Relations Officer while Midfielder Anabi Issa Sesay was appointed as Coordinator.

Speaking to this press the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Umaru Din Sesay said both members are dedicated, hard working, credible, disciplined and loyal to the Foundation.

“We are very pleased to appoint them and we are optimistic that they will deliver in their various capacities,” he enthused.

Both new appointees thanked the executive for the trust reposed in them and promised to contribute to the development of the Foundation.

Mr. Peter Shilton played for Kamboi Eagles from 1990-2000 and Golf Leopards from 2000-2007 and he was a member of the senior national team, Leone Stars from 1999-2001. He became a Sports Journalist in both print and electronic in 2006 when he was about to retire from active football.

Even though he played as Left Back for  National Veterans FC he has also played Goal Keeper since 1988 when he was spotted as the new gem of Kenema, his home town, where he is regarded in football as a legendary Goal Keeper.

Mr. Anabi Issa Sesay played for Old Edwardians FC, Mighty Blackpool and Leone Stars and he is the Finance Officer at  Sierra Leone Labour Congress.
