Regent chief appointed for the Loko community in Bo

Bo, Jan. 18 (SLENA) – The Kakua Chiefdom Administration and the Loko community have appointed Mr. Foday Conteh of No. 4 Hill Cut Road, Simbo Town in Bo as regent chief for the Loko community in the Kakua Chiefdom, Bo District.

The appointment was effective December 2013 to fill the vacant seat of the Loko tribal head in the chiefdom. The election of the substantive head, SLENA leant, will be conducted some time in 2014.

Speaking to SLENA shortly after his appointment, Mr. Conteh expressed his appreciation and thanked both the Kakua chiefdom administration and the Loko community for the appointment.

He called on his tribesmen to support his administration to mend the cracks within the community, thereby restoring peace and tranquillity among the Loko people in that part of the country.
